Why was Pod Heritage started?

Pod Heritage was started by the daughter of Pat and Todd Smith when she discovered a treasure trove of vintage toys in storage after their passing. The simple yet meaningful mission is to share memories through vintage toys, rare art, and collectible treasures. Based in Atlanta, we specialize in iconic Beanie Babies, rare artwork, and collectible toys from well-known brands like Mattel and others.

Pat and Todd's love for collecting sparked the creation of this store, aiming to provide a platform where people can rediscover the treasures that shaped their childhoods or find unique pieces to add to their collections.

Pod Heritage was founded by Heather Couch, BFA, MFA, MAEd - a passionate Special Education and English teacher at Fayette County Public Schools with an extensive background in art. Heather’s lifelong love for art and collectibles inspired her to create a space where vintage toys, rare art, and nostalgic treasures could be shared with others.

With years of experience in the arts and education, Heather combines her creative vision and teaching expertise to curate a collection that celebrates the beauty of childhood memories. Through Pod Heritage, she brings her passion for art and storytelling to life, preserving treasures for future generations.
